Independent Chair (Fostering, Adoption and Permanence Panel) - ERN06418 with East Renfrewshire Council in Adoption and Permanence Panel) is a people-focused role involving work to advert East Renfrewshire are looking for an Independent Chair who is a dynamic, motivated and experienced individual who will be instrumental on overseeing the work of East Renfrewshire’s Fostering, Adoption and Permanence Panel.

Responsibilities: The advert points to our diverse group of Panel members and the HSCP within a multi-agency and multi-disciplinary context, This includes all aspects of post-adoption support planning, and This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.

Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring your experience and skills will be vital in this important role, which is crucial in supporting the futures of looked after children and young people and ensuring they have the best opportunities throughout their childhood, adolescence and beyond, have professional and/or personal experience of the placement of children and young people in adoptive and foster families, and Moreover, have an understanding of their experiences of being cared for away from their birth family; as well as experience in chairing complex meetings.
