Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring have: Experience of supervising and overseeing the construction of civil engineering projects ensuring the agreed specifications are met in full and the required quality standards are consistently achieved; Experience of inspecting roads and footways to assess their condition and safety, including identification of remedial works as required, reporting on standards of workmanship and compliance with national and local standards; Experience in the management of projects, fostering working relationships with contractors to ensure delivery, whilst maintaining excellent value for the Council; Experience to ensure that all work is carried out with due regard for public safety and traffic/pedestrian management requirements, utilising a working knowledge of Chapter 8 (Traffic Signs Manual) and the Red Book; A knowledge of health and safety legislation in relation to road construction and maintenance, All applicants will be considered fairly based on skills and experience, and 're interested not only in your skills and experience but also in your approach to work.
