Activities Co-ordinator with Anchor in Glenvale Park Wellingborough is a people-focused role involving work to hours: 24 per week Shift Pattern: 8:00am - 4:00pm, 3 shifts a week, every other weekend.
Responsibilities: The advert points to design and deliver an engaging activity programme that supports residents’ cognitive abilities, emotional wellbeing, social connection, and sense of purpose, residents’ abilities, interests, and care plans, Plan, organise, and lead daily activities Adapt activities for varying stages of dementia, ensuring accessibility, safety, and meaningful engagement for all residents, and integrate activities into daily routines and ensure continuity of support, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.
Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring build relationships with residents to understand their life histories, preferences, and triggers, using this knowledge to personalise activities and Skills & Qualities: Strong understanding of dementia care principles and person-centred practice Creative, energetic, and able to motivate others Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Empathy, patience, and emotional resilience Ability to plan, organise, and prioritise effectively Confidence leading groups and adapting activities on the spot Please note all applicants must already hold the legal right to work in the UK to apply for.
