Medway Norse specialises in providing a range of services in partnership with Medway Council. We deliver a number of front-line services to the public, including transport, waste management and facilities management.

We are currently recruiting for a Recycling Operative to work on a full-time, permanent basis at our HWRC Recycling Centre in Medway.

This role is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis, working 40 hours per week.

In this role, you will be responsible for assisting and advising the public with recycling their waste as per site guidelines. As a Recycling Operative you will operate compacting machinery, ensure that hazardous or toxic waste is handled and stored correctly and maintain the tidiness of the site in accordance with company operating procedures.

Your Experience

Any previous experience within a waste management or recycling role would be an advantage however we are also looking for you to demonstrate;

Ability to work independently, as well as collaborating with a team

Customer service approach to dealing with members of the public

Ideally you will have knowledge of using compacting machinery

Basic knowledge of relevant Health & Safety guidelines for waste management

Availability to work between sites where required
