Responsibilities: The advert points to start your journey with us whilst we’ll support you to be your best, assist the Pharmacy team by providing pharmacy support to deliver an efficient Pharmacy service, and monitor stock levels within the Pharmacy department to maintain appropriate stock levels To assist with the procurement of pharmaceutical stock for the pharmacy and other departments using appropriate electronic systems To receive goods in appropriately checking against purchase orders/delivery notes, dealing with issues/anomalies as they arise and escalating appropriately To review invoice queries as appropriate To monitor stock levels within the pharmacy department To monitor stock levels in designated ward/department areas by carrying out stock top ups To assist with supplying stock to other departments To participate in pharmacy and departmental stock takes To store all pharmaceutical products appropriately maintaining security and correct environmental conditions To carry out expiry date checking of pharmaceutical stock in designated areas and record appropriately To dispose of medicines in accordance with statutory requirements To manage the stock supply of emergency drugs in accordance with local resuscitation polices To assemble monthly stock evaluation reports Dispensary and Patient Services To assist in the dispensing of medicines accurately selecting the correct quantity of medicine required and assembling, labelling and processing them in a safe, efficient and timely manner To carry out final accuracy check on dispensed items within scope of qualification and experience To provide basic advice to customers under the supervision of the Pharmacist, understanding when to refer on appropriately To assemble pre-packed or over- labelled batches of medicines for out of hours dispensing, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.
