Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring as an Ophthalmic Scrub Theatre Practitioner at York Hospital, will be registered with the appropriate professional governing body (NMC or HCPC) and hold the qualifications and experience relevant to your registration, bring valuable post-registration experience, excellent communication skills, and a flexible, proactive approach to your work, In addition to your ophthalmic expertise, will also work across a range of surgical specialties, including: Orthopaedics General Surgery Gynaecology Laparoscopic Surgery ENT Urology Pain Management Spinal Surgery Maxillofacial Surgery Breast Surgery A Surgical First Assistant (SFA) qualification is desirable but not essential, and Candidates who do not currently hold this qualification may have the opportunity to undertake SFA training in partnership with De Montfort University, supporting their ongoing professional development and career progression.
