Responsibilities: The advert points to provide psychological expertise in the development, implementation and evaluation of an AI-supported service user gateway for Scotland’s national mental health charity, Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH), ensure that the online service user gateway is person-centred, aligns with appropriate therapeutic approaches and language, provides quick and accurate identification of service user risk, and aligns with appropriate legislative, professional and regulatory body guidelines, create a project steering group and with them co-design and test the product and ensure service user needs are met, and translate person-centred psychological principles into operational requirements for AI development, ensuring safe, ethical, and evidence-based system design in collaboration with computing colleagues, with emphasis on safe, respectful support. Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring the postholder will engage with contemporary evidence to ensure that the online service user experience is psychologically-informed and mirrors the in-person equivalents to support seamless transitions for services users, offers the opportunity to engage in knowledge transfer, industry collaboration, and ongoing professional development, with funding available for training and conference participation, a Psychologist with at least a Masters-level qualification in applied psychology and mental health with experience developing and/or delivering digital mental health interventions and services postholder should have experience working within a multidisciplinary team and within mental health, therapeutic and/or third sector contexts, and Strong experience of both qualitative and quantitative research methods would be advantageous for along with experience of evaluating mental health interventions.
