Responsibilities: The advert points to be confirmed We are currently seeking a compassionate, motivated and reliable Assistant Support Worker to join our dedicated team at Huntershill Court Lifehouse, a supported accommodation service comprising 14 self-contained flats, achieve their personal goals and make lasting changes in their lives, provide practical and emotional support to residents, encouraging engagement with support plans and helping them develop the skills needed to move forward positively, and ensure the service operates effectively and efficiently, with emphasis on safe, respectful support. Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring whilst previous experience working directly with homeless individuals is not essential, will need to demonstrate empathy, resilience and a genuine commitment to supporting vulnerable people and Key Responsibilities: Support residents in working towards their individual goals, promoting independence, wellbeing and positive outcomes Build professional and supportive relationships with residents, treating everyone with dignity, respect and compassion Assist Support Workers with the delivery of support plans and resident-focused activities Encourage residents to engage with services and opportunities that support their personal development, health and wellbeing Contribute to maintaining a safe, secure and supportive environment for residents, staff and visitors Work collaboratively with colleagues and external agencies to help residents access appropriate services and support Respond appropriately to incidents, concerns and safeguarding matters in line with organisational policies and procedures Maintain accurate records and utilise IT systems to support effective service delivery and reporting will be able to demonstrate: A genuine motivation to support vulnerable individuals in achieving positive and sustainable outcomes An understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness and a willingness to engage with and support clients from diverse backgrounds The ability to use initiative and problem-solving skills to improve services and support both colleagues and residents.
