Responsibilities: The advert points to provide meaningful companionship at our extra care service in Hull, make a real difference to the lives of people with support needs while working alongside our team to deliver truly person centred care, As a Befriender, you’ll spend time with one of the people we support, offering friendly conversation and companionship through regular meet ups, and You may also spend time with the person we support in the local community, visiting cafes, local services such as the library or attending events and activities, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.

Employment details: Volunteer duties: – Meet on a regular basis and facilitate meaningful conversations – Help the person support to access the local community, supporting social inclusion and encouraging independence – Build trusting relationships whilst respecting boundaries – Report any safeguarding concerns to Creative Support staff members – Understand and work within Creative Support Policies and procedures, respecting boundaries – Attend regular supervisions with your allocated volunteer supervisor and complete any training provided Hours: Any day after 1pm Application Instructions: can also download a copy of application form using the links above.
