Responsibilities: The advert points to cleaning - 2022 * APSE Building Cleaning Innovation Award - 2023 * Building Cleaning Most Improved Performance Networks Award – 2024 * ASSIST-FM Contribution to Cleaning Awards - 2025 We’re now looking for a Building Facilities Assistant (also known as School Janitor) to join our friendly, supportive team at Penpont Primary, help keep the school safe, clean and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors, Your duties will include: *Carrying out general cleaning and janitorial tasks to a high standard *Supporting daily building safety checks and health & safety procedures *Assisting the Lead Occupier with safe operation of the premises *Supporting energy efficiency and responsible building usage *Liaising professionally with all staff and service users You’ll work both independently and as part of a small team, using a proactive, organised, and methodical approach, and support your development *Access to the Local Government Pension Scheme (Scotland) *Access to Viv-Up, our wellbeing and discounts platform with over 800 offers *Cycle-to-Work scheme, financial wellbeing support, and Wellbeing Champions What we’re looking for *A reliable, motivated individual with good attention to detail *Someone approachable, professional, and customer focused *Able to work independently and as part of a team *Good communication skills are essential *A current driving license is required (reasonable adjustments will be considered) Requirements Important information This post is considered as Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007, with emphasis on safe, respectful support. Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring about ’ll be part a dynamic, customer facing facilities team, providing essential janitorial and cleaning support to help keep the school safe, clean and welcoming for pupils, staff, and visitors and 1h 30minutes a day Monday – Friday What Offer *Term-time only working – ideal for parents and carers *Full training provided, including: - Cleaning methods.
