Responsibilities: The advert points to support children and young people to promote welfare and development and achieve best outcomes in line with ‘Getting It Right For Every Child’ and the SHANARRI principles, the continuous achievements and improvements of Ferndale Children’s Services and Ferndale Outreach Service, participate in all inspections and deliver practice of a high standard, ensure consideration of holidays, training and outings, and cover day, evening and nightshift duties, sleepover duties during emergencies, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.

Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring job Summary will work as part of the Residential team at Ferndale Children’s Services delivering high quality residential care to children and young people who require to be looked after away from home on a full time 35 hour per week contract, In line with SSSC registration requirement for Residential Child Care, will have a mandatory academic qualification - minimum of HNC in Social Care or equivalent academic social care award at SQF level 9 or above, and also hold a Practice Qualification - SVQ 3 or equivalent or be committed to undertake the required SVQ 3 Qualification as determined by the SSSC for Residential Child Care services.
