Drumming Instructor, Uist Primary Schools - FIXED TERM - CNS06373 with Comhairle nan Eilean Siar in relation to pupils, parents staff and schools is a people-focused role involving work to june 2027 £15,151 - £20,138 per annum, inclusive of £1,199 Distant Islands Allowance per annum will be required to provide quality music tuition to assigned pupils and contribute to the Instrumental Teaching Service, with regards to Drumming tuition, specifically in relation to pupils, parents staff and schools.

Responsibilities: The advert points to june 2027 £15,151 - £20,138 per annum, inclusive of £1,199 Distant Islands Allowance per annum The post holder will be required to provide quality music tuition to assigned pupils and contribute to the Instrumental Teaching Service, with regards to Drumming tuition, specifically in relation to pupils, parents staff and schools and Duties will include providing music tuition to assigned pupils on an individual or group basis as appropriate; planning and preparing appropriate work for pupils; liaising with Headteachers and Music Staff in order to promote the instrumental skills of pupils; and being involved in the organisation and operation of school concerts/performances on an agreed basis, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.

Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring must have a sound practical and working knowledge of Drumming instruction, It is essential have good communication and interpersonal skills along with good oral, written and record keeping skills, It is essential hold a current UK Driving Licence, and must hold a relevant professional diploma or qualification in the subject.

Employment details: This post is subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme as a legal requirement of a regulated role with Children (Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme - mygov.scot) The salary quoted is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
