If you have any queries regarding this vacancy, please contact Ruth McConnachie at rmcconnachie24@dundeeschools.scotRequirements?You will be GTCS Registered (Primary/Secondary/ASN), have knowledge of relevant curriculum areas and an awareness of main current issues in Scottish education.ResponsibilitiesYou will work as part of a team in building the capacity of staff in nurseries/schools in teaching and learning approaches and providing appropriate support to children and young people (0-18) who have additional support needs (ASN).The IndividualYou will also demonstrate application and knowledge of Curriculum for Excellence and have evidence of appropriate Professional Learning in a range of areas. In addition you will have a positive and caring approach and commitment to young people, have good communication/ interpersonal skills and relate well to others. You will have had success in teaching and knowledge in meeting the learning needs of all pupils including those with a wide range of social and communication needs and barriers to learning. This post is considered Regulated Work with Children and/or Protected Adults, under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by Dundee City Council.
