Responsibilities: The advert points to the post holder will work with a variety of partners, customers, and clients on the delivery of a professional service that maximises resources and delivers positive outcomes, take a lead role in the development and implementation of transportation policy, including work on regional and local strategies and plans, identifying funding opportunities and preparing bids, and The post holder will also take a lead role in the development and delivery of a range of cycling, walking and sustainable travel initiatives in line with Roads & Transportation Services Active Travel Plan, including engagement with communities and stakeholders, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.

Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring with a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience or registration with the Engineering Council at Incorporated Engineer Level, will have knowledge and experience of roads and transportation engineering, must have previous experience of delivering projects, including the ability to achieve project milestones and targets, must be able to demonstrate proven experience of developing successful working relationships with external partners and professional service providers and ideally have some experience in active travel projects / schemes, and Ideally, will have demonstrable experience in traffic modelling as well as previous experience working in a local authority, however this is not essential.
