Advert East Renfrewshire are looking for an Independent Chair who is a dynamic, motivated and experienced individual who will be instrumental on overseeing the work of East Renfrewshire’s Fostering, Adoption and Permanence Panel. Your experience and skills will be vital in this important role, which is crucial in supporting the futures of our looked after children and young people and ensuring they have the best opportunities throughout their childhood, adolescence and beyond. The post holder will provide vision and leadership to our diverse group of Panel members and the HSCP within a multi-agency and multi-disciplinary context.

Further context from the advert indicates that the Looked after (Scotland) Regulations 2009 and the Adoption and Children’s (Scotland) Act 2007 also guide the work of the Panel to consider the approval and suitability of adoptive families, foster carers and supported carers. This includes all aspects of post-adoption support planning.
