Voids Multi – Trade Chargehand
Hindle House - Banbury
£38,887 – £40,934 per year
40 hours per week – Monday to Friday
We have an opportunity for a Multi-Trade Chargehand to join our Voids team, based in Banbury. Working with a team of Operatives and as a working charge hand you will be responsible for providing repairs on void properties. The role will include a company van and power tools and training will be provided as and when required.
The role of Multi-Trade Chargehand will include:
Assisting with the daily management of a team and overseeing repairs and refurbishment of properties, ensuring they are carried out to a high standard
Inspecting works completed to ensure these represent value for money e.g. efficient use of materials
Ensuring Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed on site, maintaining compliance
Ordering materials, and liaising with suppliers
Ensuring works are completed to KPI targets and financial recovery for completed void works
Responding to emergencies and assisting with complaints
Skills and experiences:
To ensure full compliance with health and safety legislation, candidates applying for this role must be qualified to or currently undertaking NVQ Level 2 in a core subject (carpentry, electrical. If Plumbing Level 3 is required. As part of the interview process, candidates will be required to bring with them the original certification verifying proof of their qualifications. Copies and CSCS cards will not be accepted
Significant social housing experience
Good communication, interpersonal and customer care skills
Analysing and diagnosing problems and implementing effective solutions
Basic skills in use of Microsoft office, Excel, Outlook and Word
This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence

£38,887 per annum (rising to £40,934 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
