Responsibilities: The advert points to the Head of Health and Social Care with lead for Social Work Functions and is expected to cover the strategic planning and operational day to day management of HSCP’s Residential Care Homes, Extra Care Housing and Day Care Services, maintain this status whilst managing the complex financial and service demand that lie ahead, develop effective working relationships with managers, staff, and other stakeholders with a variety of backgrounds and disciplines and will have a proven ability to provide effective leadership in developing and delivering effective strategies to deliver organisational goals, and undertake a Disclosure Scotland check, the level of check will be determined by the duties of the post, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.

Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring must be Educated to degree level or hold a professional qualification in Social Work, Health or equivalent, have a proven and successful track-record in managing demanding complex Social Work Services at a senior level, with experience of managing demanding and complex service areas and activities within a Social Care or Health setting, It is essential have experience and understanding of financial and budget management, people management skills, evidence of successfully managing complex change as well as a demonstratable understanding of all aspects of older people’s services, the issues impacting these services and service integration delivery models, and Proven skills in evaluating service demand/delivery, predicting resource issues, and overcoming obstacles is also essential.
