Project Worker - Multiple Locations across City - 15118_1782219810 with City of Edinburgh Council in supporting New Scot families with community participation, inclusion and capacity building is a people-focused role involving work to join Community Learning and Development team.
Responsibilities: The advert points to support and deliver child-centred, innovative community-based creche provision across the city, supporting ESOL and Family learning classes provided by the Community Lifelong Learning ESOL Team, develop and maintain safe and enriching provision for children attending our creches, The post holder will support staff and ensure safety and quality across all provisions, and manage workload independently Has a positive attitude towards equality, diversity and inclusion Can work creatively and flexibly to meet community needs Is confident working with children and adults, including vulnerable groups We deliver our classes across Edinburgh aiming to reach out to deprived areas, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.
Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring someone who: Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills Can build positive relationships with a wide range of people Is organised, proactive and able to manage workload independently Has a positive attitude towards equality, diversity and inclusion Can work creatively and flexibly to meet community needs Is confident working with children and adults, including vulnerable groups deliver classes across Edinburgh aiming to reach out to deprived areas and Though timetable changes currently require staff at: Tynecastle Community Wing, Tynecastle High School (Tuesday lunchtimes, Thursday mornings) West Pilton Neighbourhood Centre (Tuesday mornings, Thursday mornings) Leith Community Centre (Monday mornings) Goodtrees Neighbourhood Centre (Monday mornings) South Queensferry Community Centre (Tuesday mornings) Please only apply if are available for some of these days and times.
