Responsibilities: The advert points to join our team, support deaf children to fully access their education and participate in school life, overcome barriers to learning and participation, within all educational sectors, and include development in communication through BSL of children and under the direction of the class teacher, the post holder will help with specific learning activities and to follow instructions and organisation of work, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.

Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring experience of working with children with additional support needs and an interest in their development would be advantageous, A commitment to professional learning is essential, as will undertake training and development in BSL competency and the adaptation of learning materials, A Level 4 Certificate in BSL Studies or equivalent experience would be advantageous, and There will be opportunities to work alongside them in a variety of settings, enabling to develop the specialist knowledge, confidence and practical skills required to effectively support deaf learners.
