Responsibilities: The advert points to help to provide the school meals service on a relief basis to cover for holiday and sickness absence and Duties include preparation, cooking and service of food, supervision of staff, menu planning, ordering of provisions, ensuring all aspects of service provision complies with food safety and completion of associated records, cash handling and liaising with school staff, parents and pupils, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.

Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring the necessary qualification, experience and skills required for are an Elementary Food Hygiene qualification or equivalent and a Food Preparation Qualification e.g and NVQ level 2, C+G 706/1 + 706/2 and previous experience of food preparation, cooking and service.

Employment details: Advert Relief Cook Mainland Orkney and Outer Isles Schools Hours are offered on an as and when required basis £15.94 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance) The purpose of is to help to provide the school meals service on a relief basis to cover for holiday and sickness absence.
