Responsibilities: The advert points to advert School Technician Working as a whole school technician the post holder will assist the teaching staff in the work necessary in practical areas of the science department as well as undertaking Audio Visual duties, Duties include preparing materials, equipment, and teaching resources for use by teachers and students within the science department, The post holder will assist the teaching staff within the Science department and will support the use of computer aides/teaching resources throughout the school, and keep abreast of Health and Safety legislation and to assist if and when required with setting up and maintaining of Audio Visual equipment, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.

Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring it is essential have experience of working in a science/ audio visual department and an awareness of statutory inspection requirements and Health and Safety law, must have effective communication and organisational skills and be able to work on your own initiative whilst under pressure and to tight deadlines, Evidence of ability to follow safe working procedures and experience of handling chemicals is also essential, and Education to HNC level or equivalent experience and Health and Safety qualifications are desirable as is experience of working in a busy science department.
