Service: Customer Support Services / ICT Closing Date: Tuesday 14th July 2026 Argyll and Bute Council is seeking to recruit a full-time Senior IT Engineer to join our IT Server Team based in Lochgilphead. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic and customer-focused team supporting a large and diverse organisation. The role is expected to be an experienced IT professional involved in the design, installation and ongoing support of server infrastructure across the Council’s estate.

Further context from the advert indicates that our operating environment includes both Microsoft and Linux servers, hosted across two datacentres and utilising a mix of physical and virtual machines. The post holder will play a key role in delivering both hardware and software support, providing second- and third-line operational assistance, and ensuring the timely resolution of service requests, incidents and complex technical issues.
