Responsibilities: The advert points to develop, plan and manage a variety of Economic Development projects, predominantly in the areas of Business Support, Trade and Investment and Employability and Skills, which will positively impact the sustainable economic growth of Aberdeen City and its region and cover overseeing and supporting delivery of a range of funded employability projects and schemes, liaising with internal and external partners and stakeholders, to provide an accessible and successful programme of support for some of Aberdeen's most vulnerable residents, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.

Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring location: Marischal College, Duration: Temporary, Full Time Roles that require PVG Membership Please note that with effect from 1 April 2023, where a role requires PVG membership, candidates will be required to meet the cost of the PVG membership, Knowledge and experience of working in employability and skills is desirable, needs to hold as a minimum: Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline, and A Project Management qualification or equivalent The postholder is able to demonstrate: Proven experience in working on projects including European and Government funded projects.

Employment details: This applies only to roles with a full time equivalent salary of £30,000 and above and (Teaching roles and jobs at Grade 10 and above (currently £30,030 per annum / £16.50 per hour) The Council will pay for the PVG membership cost initially, either £18 for existing PVG scheme members, or £59 for non-members, and this cost will be deducted from an employee’s first FULL month’s salary payment.
