Responsibilities: The advert points to advert Senior Social Care Worker, Grianan and Carloway Day Centres 37 hours per week, Permanent Post £39,844 – £43,992 per annum ( inclusive of £2,997 Distant Islands Allowance ) As Senior Social Care Worker, the post holder will supervise and manage staff within the social care setting, ensure the operational running of the service and its compliance with the Regulation of Care (Scotland) Act 2001, Knowledge of Adult, Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007, and work with behaviours that challenge services and demonstrate core professional values, with emphasis on safe, respectful support.

Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring must have knowledge of Person-Centred Planning and Legislations such as: Knowledge of Adults with Incapacity Act (Scotland) 2000, Knowledge of Adult, Support and Protection (Scotland) Act 2007, (In the absence of this – the candidate must have the ability to undertake and achieve all necessary qualification – 36 months after registration with SSSC), and have significant Social Care/Social Work and leadership experience.

Employment details: Salary for the above post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance.
