Requirements: Suitable applicants may bring • must currently be in your Third Year Placement of the BSc Environmental Health with Professional Practice at the University of the West of Scotland or • must have completed a REHIS accredited BSc or MSc in Environmental Health or • must hold a BSc in a science related subject and have completed a REHIS Alternative Route Assessment to confirm that meet the requirements to be registered as a graduate trainee EHO (written confirmation will be required from REHIS that are eligible to register as a graduate trainee EHO and progress towards the Diploma in Environmental Health) and A flexible approach to working, IT skills and a working knowledge of of an Environmental Health Officer within a local authority setting are essential.

Employment details: work independently to contribute to the delivery of the Environmental Health service within Glasgow, as well as receiving training and guidance to fulfil the 48 weeks of professional practice required ahead of sitting the professional examination for the REHIS Diploma in Environmental Health and The Council is currently piloting hybrid home/office working, offers excellent work/life balance, flexi time and flexible working hours options, and membership of the Local Government pension scheme.
